Robert A. Marino has been promoted to Vice President, National Sales at West Palm Beach, Fla.-based ION Media Networks. Marino has served as Director, National Sales since joining ION Media Networks in 2007. In his new position, Marino will continue to plan and execute sales strategies, manage key accounts and develop new business opportunities for ION Television. Marino came to ION Media Networks after five years with AMC/WE TV Networks. He joined that company in 2002 as Director, New York Sales, before being named Vice President, New York Sales in 2006. Marino has also held executive positions at Fox Family Worldwide/ABC Family and at Turner Broadcasting. He is based in New York. Brandon Burgess serves as Chairman and CEO.

Laura J. Diefenbach has joined West Palm Beach, Fla.-based
ION Media Networks as Account Executive, Network Sales, based in New York. She previously held the position of Senior Account Executive at UCI-Univision Communications. Prior to that, she was Senior Account Executive at Game Show Network and was part of the sales team that launched that network. Diefenbach was also Account Executive for USA/Sci Fi Networks, where she was a three year recipient of the Sci Fi $1 Million+ New Business Award. Brandon Burgess serves as Chairman and CEO.

Baltimore-based
Ameritox had appointed David Mack as Vice President of Human Resources. Mack began his career as an Army officer, working in personnel management for four years. He then joined GE, working in its Aircraft and Motors and Industrial divisions. There, he was responsible for succession planning activities, talent development, recruiting, organizational design and development, and compensation plans for up to 20,000 employees. After GE, Mack became vice president for human resources for ARAMARK, where he developed and implemented the overall human resource strategy for two business units and 3,100 employees. He also has served as senior vice president of human resources for Atria Senior Living Group, and as a senior consultant for Positive Management Leadership, a firm that provides crisis management and leadership training to FORTUNE 500 companies. Mack earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and history from the University of Cincinnati, and a master's of science degree in Human Resource Management from Chapman University. He will be based at Ameritox headquarters in Baltimore. Ameritox provides pain prescription monitoring through its RxGuardian service. Ameritox headquarters are located in Baltimore, MD, and its laboratory facilities are in Midland, TX. Ancelmo Lopes serves as CEO.

Michael Petracca has joined Exeter, R.I.-based
Carousel Industries as the Director of Visual Communications. Petracca comes to Carousel from Avaya where he was a Unified Communications Consulting Systems Engineer supporting the western region. He was also the subject matter expert for Avaya Video Telephony in the region and was a resource for the Avaya Video Telephony product team. As a resource for the video product team, Petracca supported many industry trade shows and conferences such as VoiceCon, InAAU, InterOp, Polycom User Group, as well as many regional seminars. Petracca joined Avaya in 2006 as a pre-sales systems engineer supporting the southwest territory and named accounts such as Sempra Energy, Invitrogen, and Qualcomm. In May of 2008, he moved into the Unified Communications applications consulting team. He has also worked for 3COM, Alcatel, Expanets, and Nexus Integrated Solutions in many capacities including sales engineering, account management, and channel management.
